Why is mediation helpful?

 

In mediation, you hand over the control of the conversation to me. You do not hand over the content, only the course. This has the advantage that you can focus completely on describing your own view of the conflict. You do not have to worry about your "conflict partner" misunderstanding you. That is my job. I make sure that what you want to say really comes across without hurting the other person. And of course the same applies to your "conflict partner".
As a mediator, I am also unbiased by your situation and can listen to you calmly and really understand you. My perspective is therefore more neutral and free of emotions.

Unlike a traditional lawyer, my aim is not to represent you and fight for you. My goal is for you to be able to talk peacefully about the important things in your situation. It is not just about one person or one party, but about all the people in the conflict. All interests and needs are important. This alternative approach makes it possible to work together to improve your situation and the goal is an improvement for everyone involved.

 

In the best case, mediation takes place together with all parties in the conflict. However, this mediation process can also be used for just one side of the conflict. This would be conflict coaching and has the advantage of gaining clarity about your own side of the conflict. This is advantageous if the other party is not yet ready to talk and if you simply want to gain clarity about a difficult situation.

 

The structure of the mediation is clear and has been tried and tested worldwide. In other words, it is again no rocket science and follows a clear and stable logic. This provides stability and security.
